Join clean porous materials such as wood, paper, and card.
Get to know it
Use a PVA adhesive labeled for the materials and setting. Wood glue and white craft glue are related products, but their intended uses and water resistance vary. A close-fitting clean joint matters more than a large blob.
Dry-fit first, spread a thin layer, hold the parts in position, and follow the label for clamping and curing. Paper joints may need tape tabs or folded feet to stand while drying. Glue does not instantly make a loaded structure ready to use.
